Why is it offensive? As someone Who is in catholic school their whole life and met the Pope I don’t find this offensive. I was always taught that God was anyone I wanted God to be. God is someone who makes me feel safe and I can imagine God as such. Like how the Virgin Mary appeals to others in their form. Also wishing hell upon someone is a sin, commandment number 10, never wish bad upon anyone in simple form. Also cursing is also against the commandments it’s number 3 God doesn’t want you to curse hence take his name in vain. Also writing such a disgusting thing and saying it to someone goes against everything Jesus taught. Jesus once said “do to others what you want to be done to you.” Jesus was compassionate and respectful no matter what others opinions were. When they crucified him he didn’t wish hell upon them no he forgave them. You obviously aren’t a true follower because everything you said goes against everything Jesus stood for.

This is blasphemy on so many levels, and yet I see nothing but praise for this performance in the comments. I’ve wanted to comment this since this performance first got out. I get that this song is about “empowering women”, but there were MANY ways to go about portraying and performing it. I don’t understand why Ariana had to pick the last supper as a set for her performance, or why she had to include christian symbolism into this in the first place 😓 And then on top of that, add sexual dance moves on the table??? That’s just wrong and disrespectful to Jesus and the apostles and disrespectful to all true followers of Christ 😞 The bible says the end times will be like the days of Noah, and indeed we are living like in those days. This performance is proof of that. In 2014, CL from the Kpop group 2NE1 released a song called MTBD, which got a TON of backlash from the muslim community. It got backlash and people were very angry bc the song had something from the quran used in it. She took it down, apologized and made a new version of the song. Yet when christians commented on this performance and the song itself, all they got was hate??? Christians were told to “suck it up” or told to shut up bc it’s not a religious song but a song about empowering women?? Alright, but why did she have to sexualize the last supper if she’s trying to speak about empowering women??? Why is that not wrong? Making the apostles all be women is not empowering women. It’s disrespectful. And I guarantee you, if this would have included things from islam, everyone would have attacked Ariana. Jesus is king of kings! Ariana can be forgiven of her sins, and so can you! Jesus died on the cross for whoever is reading this. When he died on the cross, it wan’t the end, it was the beginning. He died so that through HIM you can be saved! We’re all sinners, and that is why Jesus’ death on the cross is so beautiful. He died for us all so that we may be forgiven bc we ALL fall short of the glory of God 😢🙏🏼 Hell was not created for humans, nor does God send anyone there. It was created for satan and his demons to be casted in after Jesus returns. The world sends itself to hell by sinning. You cannot blame God for the bad things in your life. Choosing to sin instead of following Jesus leads to consequences bc sin destroys the body. Sin is death. Without Jesus you are walking spiritually dead. But Jesus can give you life! The bible says that if you seek Jesus with all your heart, you will find him! If you’re a non believer and you think God is not real bc you don’t feel his “presence”...I’m here to tell you it’s bc you’re living in sin and you need to repent and seek Jesus. SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD. Repent and be saved! Repent and allow Jesus to come into your life so that he can help you steer away from sin! The bible says the door to heaven is narrow but the door to hell is WIDE 😓 Pls I beg you, your soul depends on this. If you have not already accepted Jesus into your life, you should think twice about it. He is coming soon and these coming months are going to get bad. So seek Jesus while he may be found!
